Sully Station II Recreation Facilities

Sully Station residents enjoy a recreational complex which includes a large community center, four tennis courts, a large Olympic sized pool with 2 decks off the pool patio and a gazebo. Also, located throughout the community are four multi-purpose courts, eleven tot lots, and an extensive system of trails for jogging, bicycling, or walking. Several public tennis courts, basketball courts, softball and soccer fields are also in close proximity to the neighborhood. Community activities and clubs bring residents together for fun, athletic competition, recreation and charity events.

The Sully Station II Community is convenient to churches, golf courses, many Fairfax County Parks, riding stables, and shopping malls. Chalet Woods and Cub Run Stream Valley Park are both close to the community and within walking distance. Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, Bull Run Regional Park, the Manassas National Battleground, Flat Lick Stream Valley Park, and Virginia Chase County Park are all close by.

Sully II is located approximately 23 miles west of Washington, DC, with convenient access I-66, Routes 28 and 29, which easily takes you to the entire DC metropolitan area.

Sully Station II children may attend Deer Park Elementary School, Stone Middle School and the new state-of-the-art Westfield High School – all part of the renowned Fairfax County Public School System. Many excellent private schools and colleges are also nearby.

Sully Station II’s mission is to maintain a quality of lifestyle for all community residents while also preserving homeowner value. We work to provide each resident the opportunity to enjoy the company of neighbors while celebrating the various traditions and festivities during the year. The association acts as the vehicle to help bring neighbors together to foster a sense of community.

Sully Station II Pool Information 

The Sully Station II Pool complex is available to all residents in good standing with the association during the late spring and summer months between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

The Sully Station II Pool is distinguished by it’s balance of pool vs common recreation areas. In addition to the Olympic size swimming pool, there are 3 additional deck areas 1 which includes a gazebo by the baby pool. A wealth of tables and chairs for picnics or resident snacking during break time as well as chaise lounge chairs for relaxation surround our pool facility.

Access to the pool requires a facilities pass, which can be obtained at Community Center. Owners must fill out an Facility Pass Application and provide a valid ID or proof of residency.  Renters must fill out an Facility Pass Application and provide a valid lease and a valid ID. Renters whos leases are month to month must provide proof of residency from owners.

Tennis Courts

Sully Station II has 4 tennis courts located at the Community Center Facility. There is a backboard attached to the fence at one of the courts. Residents must pay a $20 one time fee for the key to gain access.

Basketball and Multi-purpose Courts

Sully Station II currently has 4 multi-purpose courts with 2 for basketball. They are located at Belcher Farm Drive, Cub Stream Drive, Truitt Farm Drive & Village Center Drive.

Ponds

Sully Station II currently has three “wet” ponds. They are located at the Sully Station II Community Center, Truitt Farm Drive and Sully Lake Drive. Our ponds, in addition to our residents enjoyment, serve the purposes of storm water management.

Sully II Common Areas

Large common ground areas can be found along of the street right of ways, Sully Station II Community Center and pool facility, in between all the townhome lots and some single family, basketball courts, playgrounds, and asphalt trails.

Bike & Jogging Trails

Sully Station II is surrounded by an extensive system of trails for jogging, bicycling, or walking. There are 3 within close proximity to our neighborhood:

Cub Run Trail – North  – Stream valley trail network, asphalt. From Route 29 north to Honsena Drive – total trail mileage: 5 miles

Cub Run Trail – South – Stream valley trail network, asphalt. From Route 29 south to Compton Road – total trail mileage:  2.5 miles

Rocky Run Trail – Stream valley trail, stonedust. From Walney Road/Cabell’s Mill parking lot in E. C. Lawrence Park to Fairfax County Parkway – includes Greenbriar Park – total trail distance 3.4 miles.

The Washington, D.C. area is surprisingly bicycle-friendly, with hundreds of miles of interconnected off-street trails and on-street bike routes.

Children’s Play Ground Areas – Sully Station II Tot Lot Locations

There are 11 Tot Lots and children playground areas within the Sully Station II community grounds that are maintained by the Association.

The Sully Station II Tot Lots offer a common place in the community for children to play safely outdoors. The recreational equipment includes: Swings, chin up bars/overhead ladder, a slide accompanied by a tree house. All 11 Tot Lots are fenced playground areas designed to provide a safe environment for play in a natural setting within our community.
